About Lumen LampsLumen Lamps did not start out online. We began as a retail store in Nashville, Tennessee and if you are ever in Nashville, we would love for you to drop by and meet Clay Isaacs, the proprietor of Lumen, and his staff. Clay loves table lamps and several years ago turned his passion and interest into a thriving business. Read what customers have to say about Lumen and our lamps. What has always set Lumen Lamps apart is an eye for beautiful lamps that you simply do not find in many, if any, other places; whether it is a retail store, catalog, or an online lamp web site. Ours is a unique collection of table lamps that we continue to change and augment via relationships with outstanding lamp makers — some well known and others less so. We even work with a number of artisans to design many of our incredibly unique lamps. Until recently we have been selling Lumen Lamps in the Nashville area and to many people with homes all over the country — from San Diego to LA, Jackson Hole to Vail, and Palm Beach to New York City — and many places in between, all without a web site. Lumen was not interested in franchising the business outside of Nashville, but we knew people in many locations nationwide were looking for our quality of lamps. And so, the company began offering their special collection of lamps to customers across the United States, anytime they wanted to shop for them online at Lumen Lamps. We only wonder now why we didn't do that sooner! We hope that you enjoy your visit to our site. We've tried to develop a site that comes as close as possible to an actual store visit, and we will continue to make it better in the years to come.
